Farnsworth Cinema

Well here is a look at the last couple of months in the Farnsworth boy's entertainment.

This was a video taken on a night we made a fort in the boys room for them to sleep in (a couple of months ago). The boys look funny with the night vision on the camera but they insisted. Here is a song from both Austy & Chasers.

This may be considered sacrilege so I apologize but it was too real not to post. This is the same night as above, but Austin is trying to sing "I Am a Child of God" while Chase sings in the background "B-U-T-T is my pee". Austin totally gets distracted. Funny and yet such a sad look into my reality :)

The other night Blake just started talking away. Saying everything we would and laughing so hard. Of course we only caught the tail end of his little show, but I still had to share. What a little cutie! (notice Austin & Chase encouraging Blake to say diaper the entire time...they are such little naughties).

Okay this last video is Austin's version of the ABC's. He is such a crack up and is a little performer (not sure where he gets that from).

Grateful Sunday

It has been awhile since I posted a grateful Sunday post, but today I have many things to be grateful for. First, Dave is home this week end. The first week end in what seems like a million years. I have missed him so much and the kids and I have just relished every minute with him this week end:) We ended up going to the funnest place ever on Friday night with the kids called "Going Bonkers" (this huge indoor play park) with some old friends from Denton. We had such a fun time catching up and laughing. Then Dave took me out on Saturday to catch up with each other. It was so nice to have time to just chat. After dinner we headed over to some friends for some fondue and the Newly Weds game. Dave and I were definitely the losers. Looks like we need to start memorizing useless facts about each other :)

Second, I am grateful for good friends. Katie & Mike had me and the boys over for dinner last Sunday due to the fact that I looked like death and have been so sick. It was so nice to have to not worry about dinner. Thanks guys! Also, my friend Karen brought over a bunch of freezer meals this week so I could just throw dinner in on those really bad days. There are so many other little kind acts of service that people have given that I couldn't even name them all. I seriously have such great friends and I love you guys so much. Thanks for taking care of me!

Last, I really am grateful to be pregnant even though I have never thrown up so much in my life and I am down 6 1/2 lbs. Here is to hoping this craziness ends with the first trimester :)

Here is a book that Austin made for me and the baby today...what a cutie patootie:

L-E-T-S-G-O.... Let's go!

So Austin's basketball season has ended. Organized sports at this young age is always fun. The pressure isn't on yet and the kids just... well they just have fun! I loved to watch (well watch as much as I could with Blake & Chase in tow) Austin's improvement over the season. Here is a look at what our basketball season looked like...

Two cute brothers finding another use for a basketball... (they played roll the ball a million times)

This is what it looks like to school your little brother in basketball... Just wait Chasey cause I am pretty sure Blake is going to be the biggest of all you :)

This is what it looks like to shoot and score a point (Go Austy!)

This is what it looks like to be proud of yourself for making a point...

This is what it looks like to block your opponent...

This is what it looks like at the end of the season and you have earned your trophy...

Austin's real question now is, "Mom, when does baseball start?". Oh the joy of being a mom of boys. The reality is as one season of sports ends, it just means the beginning of another. I have a feeling there will be A LOT of Saturday games in my future :)

S.O.S. this is not a test...

Okay Arizona friends I need you. Here are things I need help on as I try to make arrangements from 1,000 miles away to move there. Here are some questions I have and any input you have on any of these please comment! Thanks in advance for letting me pick your brains virtually. I am a super OCD planner and have seriously been stressed...

1. I think we have narrowed it down to a few areas we would like to live (generally). I would LOVE to hear your thoughts if you have any about school districts, wards, shopping, etc:

-Higley & Elliot
-Germann & Higley
-Williams Field and Greenfield

2. Preschools: I know I have already talked to a couple of you, but I would LOVE to hear about where your kiddos go and preschools that you have heard or experienced that are great :)

3. Sports: who do you register through (YMCA? A youth sports association?) Would love to know how any of you have done this and which organizations were great.

3.5 Gymnastics: where do your kids go? Is there just a fabulous one that has great classes?

4. I need a good pediatrician :) I like Dr's that error on the side of caution and listen to my concerns. I know you great mom's out there have done your homework so please share :)

5. I also need a good OB since I will be moving there and about 6 weeks later delivering a baby(is there a nice hospital I need to be trying to deliver at?)!

6. Not so important but still helpful: good house cleaner, good dry cleaner/tailor, blah blah blah.

ANY other info you would like to just pass on for the fun of it please pass on! Thanks SO much everyone. I really appreciate your help!!!!

For RE-ALL...

Okay I am done woeing and was ready for a laugh. I got more than I bargained for after laughing so hard my cheeks hurt at two of the funniest posts I have read in a long time. After such inspiration I felt inclined to write about some normal everyday real stuff.

Thanks Heidi for cracking me up about the "my life is so perfect, my husband is so perfect, my kid's are so perfect" post. Mine indeed are not. This is for you...

And Kaedi I am seriously still laughing at your well thought analysis of blog esteem and how it is indeed not related to self-esteem. We all have bad posts, those that somehow relate to no one (blog stalkers and regulars alike). Here is to hoping this relates to someone...

Here are some of the most real, are you serious this is happening to me? moments that have occurred in the last few months. Sometimes you just gotta laugh at yourself (okay and others for their misfortunes).

1- Chase mooned an entire room of people at a Christmas Party (only a few of them were people we knew well). Dave's comment "Stephanie and I really need to get on the same page about mooning. She is kinda of anti-mooning and I am pro. You could see where Chase's confusion might come from!!" Thanks honey for lightening the situation while I scrambled to try to think of what a good mom would do in that situation. He ended up in time out and I ended up laughing?

2- At Peter Piper Pizza I had a mom (who I knew from basketball) tell me that I really shouldn't let my son use the booth as a trampoline, and that it wasn't appropriate here or at any restaurant. (Well, she may have been a little right, but seriously I was at Peter Piper Pizza folks). She had watched me all season wrestle my boys alone at the basketball games (Dave's been traveling a ton) and when she found out I was pregnant she told me "you are going to have another one?" Translation= get a grip on the life you have. Solution= laugh it off cause I know I don't or won't have a grip until my children are long out of the house and who knows if even then! :)

3- I also had a mom tell me that my sons diaper was leaking and I probably should change him. (He had just tipped his drink on himself and his pants got all wet). I mean am I really that big of a crazy that you have to tell me when to change my son's diaper? So I just made a joke of it and said "we don't usually change his diapers, it saves us SO much money". Hopefully she knew I was kidding.

4- I guess Chase got up in the middle of the night and went #2. We got up in the morning and he had finger painted his poop all (and I mean ALL) over the walls. We had a nice long talk after we got him out of bed and put him in the shower. Now, one of his goals every morning is to not play with his poop. Seriously?!?

5-Here is a story of how irresponsible I am (yes another one)... I am driving to church yesterday (with little time to spare to be late) and I get pulled over. My inspection is 7 months over due and I promise you I had NO clue. Not to mention he kindly lets me know I have a tail light out. I sheepishly hand him my license and he heads back to his car. He storms back and lets me know "Mam, this license was current 3 addresses ago". No problem, "I have another one with the last address I lived at a year ago". The officer politely said "Mam, I could suspend your license as you only have 3 months to change your address." I smile. He asks for my insurance and what do ya know... it expired 3 days earlier and the new policy was sitting on my desk. I mean really? Was this really happening? I didn't get a ticket, but I so deserved it(Glad I had my push up bra on :) he he)... jk!. I mean how irresponsible can one human being be?

Well, I am pretty sure I have aired enough dirty laundry for now. It is unfortunate that as humans sometimes we somehow feel a little better after hearing other people's misfortunes (don't act like you are above it either...ha!). Well, this one was a freebie. Enjoy! And you can all officially feel like better moms and human beings than me... at least until the next story of someone else's misfortune and bad parenting is aired.

Woe is me.....

Before you read my post here is my disclaimer: I am so grateful to be pregnant. It really is a blessing. It is so worth it...
How was that? So cheesy it makes you want to puke? Now you know how I feel :)
Seriously I feel so sick! It seems like with each pregnancy my sickness gets worse & worse. I really can't complain too much because I didn't feel sick one bit with Austin or Chase's pregnancies (nope not even a little). But with Blake I was sick and now with this little peanut I am even MORE sick. So all of you peeps that get sick I totally empathize. No really I do. I hate throwing up and I refuse to puke in a nasty toilet. My preference is my kitchen sink (which forces me to always have it dish free and smelling clean... believe me that is the only bonus). Yep, it is my 4th child and I am clueless on how to deal with such bad morning sickness. HELP!

Sincerely,
The woman often found curled over her kitchen sink or lying in a ball on the bed
