Feel the Love

Last night all of my closest friends gathered and we celebrated having my first little girl & also to many I said "good bye". Karen, Katie, Steph Y., Rachel & Megan seriously know how to throw a party! It was such a great night and I can't believe the love and support that everyone offered. Natalie drove an hour just to come, Brandy 45 min, Emily & Linda 30 min., and all of my Denton girlies 20 min just to name a few. I promise your efforts to be there were noticed and I love you for it. Whether you traveled near or far thank you everyone so much for an amazing night filled with more pink than I ever thought was possible! I am grateful for the ways each of you individually have touched my family's life. I am certainly a better person today than I was 7 years ago when I moved here and I owe so much of it to the amazing women that have surrounded me during those years. You are loved and will be missed dearly.
Here is a recap of the fun night!

Pink! How cute...
Looks like Addi will be her name for sure :)
Fun friends Shellee, Wendy & Heidi
Oh look I was there too :) he he (Karen, me, Wendy, & Shellee)
Our group of friends from our first years here in Texas (Brandy, Natalie, Shellee, Karen, Becky, & Megan). What can I say? True friendship really does last forever.
Linda (& Emo) Sue (& Meg) made it too regardless of their crazy schedules.
It is tradition for my sister to get me a Monkey for every child I have. My nickname was "monkey face" when I was little.
Here is the beautiful (& pink) table of numm-E-ness! When I first walked in I had to make sure I was at the right shower. Pink... for me?
Random pics of people chatting... I wanted to capture those I didn't get close ups of.

White spandex & the world is caving in....

Yes, that is me in the white shiny spandex unitard. Not sure why we ever owned that or why I would ever think it was a good idea to dress up in it and dance around (but as an 8 (or 10 year old .... I have no clue which probably 10) I do have to compliment myself that I added a black belt to bring the entire outfit together...ha ha ha). This is just a good reminder that shiny+ unitard+ spandex is never a good idea no matter the era. I found this picture today when I was organizing pictures and packing them up. It made me giggle.

Onto reality...I am up to my neck in packing and I will not lie I am incredibly overwhelmed. The house is a disaster, the laundry is piling up, I am getting ready for a big garage sale on Saturday morning, and there are boxes lined up against the walls. I keep telling myself that it will be OK and everything will come together... I just feel so huge and being pregnant certainly doesn't give me the extra energy boost I need to be productive. BTW we still don't have a place to live yet. I seriously just feel the weight of the world right now on my shoulders. I just need to have a little more faith I guess that there is a plan for me and my family and the Lord will reveal it with time. So far all we know is that we are suppose to be in AZ. So indeed we are preparing ourselves for that ;)

I will eventually stop whining although I will probably be MIA for awhile. Hope all is well with all of you.

Loves,
Steph

Family Photo Shoot

I love the week ends when Dave brings home his camera! I get a little camera happy and just shoot pictures of any and everything. Here is a recap of a great week end.

Austin & Chase had a water fight during Blake's nap on Saturday. They have so much fun together. We filled up some water balloons and water guns and they had a blast.

My debut at nearly 6 months prego. Dave says someday I will want to remember myself like this. I told him maybe, but only to make me feel better about how I look then. For all of you cute preggo's out there with #1, 2 & 3 this is what you have to look forward to with #4 :)

These are some pics we took on our family walk on Sunday. I got a little camera happy, but I love random every day shots of the kids. They are the happiest memories for me.

Motherhood

How can I not post about Mother's day? I have been so blessed to be surrounded by amazing mothers my entire life. First my mom and also by my sisters who I look up to in so many ways. Also, I have been blessed to have great friends who take very seriously their jobs as mothers. Thank you all for your great examples.

Since I have been on this roller coaster of motherhood I have learned so much more to respect and admire my mom for all she did. These are some of the many things I love about my mom:

* Her silent giggle that shakes her shoulders and often ends with watery eyes
* Her ability to always see the positive in impossible situations
* Her generosity and dedication to serving others
* Her sense of humor
* Her ability to teach with love
* The way she taught me to have fun, and that yes sometimes you need to go to 31 flavors for dinner.
* Her dedication and love for music
* Her unwavering testimony
* Her ability to always take trials and hardship and turn them into learning experiences and testimony builders
* Her tireless acts of motherhood (ironed pillow cases, dinner on at 5 o'clock, homemade bread, a clean house) All of which I can't even imagine keeping up with!
* Her ability to love unconditionally... with true charity

The list could go on. Just know I love you mom. Thank you for being you.

Pirates Baseball Spring 2008

* Side note * We changed the name of our blog to the Farnsworth frenzy because that is indeed what we are. We are a happy but chaotic family. When I get a call on my cell from our home phone it rings the song "Welcome To the Jungle". I always get a laugh out of it. Although I am sure that I wouldn't trade them for anything :)

Another season of baseball has almost come to an end. We love his team and coaches. Austin has been the same team since his first t-ball experience. Austin has improved so much this season alone. We are so proud of him for his hard work. We have a few sweet stories about this season in baseball.
Austin started practicing during the week with his team a few weeks before the season started. Once the season started, coach Bryan moved practices to Sundays. Now in Texas they are pretty serious about sports no matter how young. Austin talked with Dave and I about what we should do and he decided we would talk to the coach and tell him that we couldn't attend practices (even if it meant getting kicked off the team). The coach told Austin he respected the choice he had made and that he would still be a part of the team and the two games a week should be enough practice for him to stay on. Austin learned such a good lesson and we are so proud of him. We have been doing a family baseball game every Wednesday to make up for his lost practice. The kids love it. Austin struggled a little the first part of the season as his teammates were getting a real extra practice a week, but now he is one amazing little baseball player. To top it off he earned the game ball the last two games in a row. It was a great test of faith for our little 6-year-old. Love you Aussiebug.

A quick trip to Oklahoma

Since our time in Texas is limited we decided to take off to Oklahoma for a quick trip this week end. It is such a beautiful state and there are some places we wanted to go one last time. We headed up to the Arbuckle Wilderness, a drive up zoo, and hit Turner Falls on the way home. It is a quick two hour drive away and we had such a great time together. The kids do so good in the car and we usually end up singing family songs or along with CD's, memorizing short poems or scriptures, taking turns making up riddles. I love our time together forcibly smashed in the car. Here are some pics of our fun week end. I hope these are the fun memories that my children remember... too bad we didn't have our good camera, but at least we captured the moment (even if it was in 5 megapixals).
