There have been so many fun things that the school has done lately. We enjoyed the Fall Festival at Central and especially the book fair.
Also Chase had his Second grade musical. I teared up watching it. It was so cute and well put together. I was really proud of him.

Family Photo Shoot 2011
The worst day of the year = family picture day. The kids don't want to fake a smile for an hour and hold still and most definitely not hug their sibling for that long. So we tried to embrace the silly faces and the giggles this year. We used the pictures we got and made them work. Here is what we got!

Piano Recital
You can imagine the silliness that Austin and Chase both bring into my life. But tonight I have to say I was so proud of them. We attended their piano recital at the church and my boys both played their songs wonderfully. Not only did they play wonderfully they played them on the organ and while the audience sang along. I had no idea they would get opportunities to accompany or play the organ. What a blessing Catherine Sweet as a piano teacher has already been to my family. Great job little buddies.

Livin' it up at the County Fair
Livin' it up at the county fair with the fam. I ate fried butter, a personal first, and other ridiculously yummy things with Dave and the kids. Loved that each food supplier was run by a local school or church. The rides were great, the food was even better, but the company was the best.

Halloween 2011
A new neighborhood, new friends, and lots of fun for us this year! Halloween this year was great. We ended up having our second annual Haunted House for the Cub Scouts. It was a ton of fun and a big hit. Dave and I both love Halloween and it makes it really fun to decorate. After out "spooky" dinner we trick or treated with the Partington's and the Whitby families. The kids could not have been happier with the company or their loot. $10 gift card to McDonald's. t-shirts, light up swords, and candy galore. I think they scored big this year :)
Harry Pumpkin Potter made his way to our family decor this year. Austin had the great idea.
BUNCO this year was a dress up and be crazy night. It was so much fun, and I am happy that I have found such super fun girls to hang with.

"Corn Maize" and Pumpkin Patch
It has been so fun to learn all of the new things to do in the Fall here
in Lubbock. One of our favorites so far was the "Corn Maize". It took
about an hour to get through the corn maze shaped like Buddy Holly (one
of Lubbock's claim to fame). The kids loved the animals, hay ride,
bounce of death, and launching a corn gun at barrels of hay. It was a
gorgeous day and a gorgeous farm. One of the best days here yet!

Football
After dropping our of our first league after finding out there were only Sunday games, we found an amazing league that let us in last minute and we couldn't be happier with it. The upward program is a Christian based sports program. The kids get stars on their flags each week based on their leadership skills and sportsmanship. The kids have loved it and have grown so much in their football abilities in such a short time. This league has been a huge blessing for us and can't wait to play other sports with them.

Three boys, three teams, lots of practices and lots of games, and so worth every minute.
