Another season of baseball has almost come to an end. We love his team and coaches. Austin has been the same team since his first t-ball experience. Austin has improved so much this season alone. We are so proud of him for his hard work. We have a few sweet stories about this season in baseball.Austin started practicing during the week with his team a few weeks before the season started. Once the season started, coach Bryan moved practices to Sundays. Now in Texas they are pretty serious about sports no matter how young. Austin talked with Dave and I about what we should do and he decided we would talk to the coach and tell him that we couldn't attend practices (even if it meant getting kicked off the team). The coach told Austin he respected the choice he had made and that he would still be a part of the team and the two games a week should be enough practice for him to stay on. Austin learned such a good lesson and we are so proud of him. We have been doing a family baseball game every Wednesday to make up for his lost practice. The kids love it. Austin struggled a little the first part of the season as his teammates were getting a real extra practice a week, but now he is one amazing little baseball player. To top it off he earned the game ball the last two games in a row. It was a great test of faith for our little 6-year-old. Love you Aussiebug.
