What is this? Two grateful Sunday posts in a row? Well, let's just say I couldn't help it.
Today I was released from the Primary Presidency. It has been such a wonderful experience to work with so many amazing women and get to know so closely the amazing children that will, in generations to come, lead the church. In the past couple of years I have learned so much, stretched myself, made mistakes (but tried to learn from them), learned to trust myself, and often cried. It is amazing the growth of your own testimony that comes when you are teaching your own children (and other's children) the gospel in its simplest form. I guess this also means that our move is close. It is real and is creeping up fast. Over the years I have served in primary we have been focusing so much on teaching the children to recognize the spirit whenever it is present which in turn forced me to do the same. I have felt it so many times as the primary children were giving talks, answering questions, and mostly when they were singing the primary songs. I will miss so much being in primary. I know it won't be my last time serving in the primary in some capacity, but I will certainly miss it for now. Just wanted to thank Katie, Lisa, Steph, Vicky and Mindy (& all of the people that I have served with in the primary) for your awesome examples of being "anxiously engaged in the gospel". Okay I have shared enough and with that being said I guess I might enjoy the break... a little...
