Grateful Sunday- Happiness

[hap-ee-nis] : noun
1.the quality or state of being happy.
2.good fortune; pleasure; contentment; joy.

There are so many things we have to be grateful for today. Addison has added so much love to our family in the few days she has been with us. In the late hours of night and the wee hours of the morning that I sit awake with her in my arms my mind races with thoughts of the future (both the joys and the fears). I often talk to her out loud and tell her about our family, share my testimony, tell her my weaknesses and ways I try to make them strengths, and how I know she will be a wonderful person inspite of them. Holding my newborn in my arms is undoubtedly a time I feel closest to heaven. It is a time of reflection for me, a time to encourage change, and to try a little harder. I love you little Addi...

The many faces of Addison:

Happiness from the perspective of our children:

For Blake riding his "Diego bike" drinking a danimal

For Chase riding a big wheel instead of his bike cause he can pedal "faster than anything"

Plus it makes biffing it less painful

For Austin riding his bike 50 yards in front of us to the park. His freedom to play and roam and be independent.

For us watching our children smile, laugh, and enjoy our time together as a family

Despite of the ups and downs of life, when it comes down to it... We indeed are happy.
