Dave and I have been married for 8 amazing years. I am so grateful that he is the incredible father and husband that he is. I don't know of another person who is as sensitive, funny, thoughtful, wise, patient and caring. I know I am so lucky to have someone like him in my life. We have made it through some incredible highs and some hard lows and are better and stronger because of it. I can't think of another person I would want on my team through life. Together, as I have come to know, we can do anything :) I love you Dave... more than you will ever know.
Austin turns 6 years old tomorrow. I cannot believe how fast these last six years have passed by.
I can honestly remember the day you were born Austy and how scared and excited I was all at the same time to be a mom. I remember holding you in the hospital late at night and feeling a surge of love overwhelm me and never before did I ever want to be so good at something in my life as much as I wanted to be a good mom. Thanks for being patient with me as I have tried (and continue to try) to be a good mom. You are so sweet Austy and too smart for your own good. You have taught me so many more things than I could ever teach you. Thank you for your silly jokes, your endless smiles, your secret acts of service, your inquisitiveness, your ability to be a friend to any one, for forgiving me for all of my mommy mistakes, and for being a wonderful son to us and brother to Chase and Blake. I love you Austin...with all of my heart I hope you know that!
